BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – The Acting Permanent Secretary (Core Education) of the Ministry of Education (MoE) Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, on Tuesday officiated the launch of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Guidance for Schools Toolkit Workshop at Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri (STPRI).

Organised by the MoE through the Science, Technology and Environment Partnership (STEP) Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Educators Management, the workshop represents a significant milestone in advancing initiatives under the MoE’s Digital Transformation Plan.

This initiative aligns with Brunei Darussalam’s Digital Economy Masterplan 2025 and the MoE’s vision of “Quality Education, Progressive Nation.”

Following the launch, several workshops will be held from June 25, 2024, to July 27, 2024.

These workshops will involve 318 participants, including cluster heads, school leaders, and teachers.

The goal is to introduce participants to the AI Guidance for Schools Toolkit, equipping them with the essential knowledge and skills to integrate AI software into teaching and learning processes. Additionally, the workshops will emphasise the importance of ethical AI practices as advocated by the toolkit.
