HONG KONG – Three Hong Kong universities were among the top 10 in Asia, according to the latest edition of the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings released on Wednesday.
The University of Hong Kong held onto its No 4 spot for a fifth consecutive year, with an overall score of 80.2.
The University of Hong Kong scored highest in the “international outlook” pillar with 98.8 marks, followed by “citations” with 85 marks. It is currently placed 30th on the Times world university rankings

The Chinese University of Hong Kong came seventh, the same as last year, while the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology dropped one spot to ninth. The Polytechnic University came not far behind at No 15.
Consists of 616 universities from 31 countries and territories, the list highlights the dynamism and strength of higher education across the Asian continent.
Tsinghua University and Peking University retained the top two spots, while National University of Singapore was ranked No 3.
Other universities that round out the top 10 are Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University, coming in fifth, The University of Tokyo, coming in sixth, Seoul National University at eighth, and Fudan University, at 10th.
