Mongolia to cooperate with China on combating desertification

Ulaanbaatar – On March 27, B.Javkhlan, the Minister of Finance, and Shen Minjuan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Mongolia, signed the letter of exchange of the “Project to establish Mongolia-China Cooperation Center for Combating Desertification” to be implemented by the Government of China to the Government of Mongolia with grant funds.

By implementing this project, two countries will fulfill their obligations under the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, mitigate climate change in the region, and increase afforestation to nine percent by intensifying the revival of green development.
