SINGAPORE – Seven Singapore restaurants have returned to the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list, down from nine in 2024. The list was announced in a live awards ceremony in Seoul, South Korea, on March 25.
Fine-dining establishment Odette at National Gallery Singapore, opened in 2015, returns to the list for the ninth time at No. 7, up from No. 10 in 2024. It is also named The Best Restaurant in Singapore 2025.
French fine-dining restaurant Les Amis advances 10 positions to No. 28. These are the only two restaurants that have gone up in ranking.
Restaurant Labyrinth, which serves modern Singapore cuisine and was at 30th place in 2024, is now at No. 37. Barbecue restaurant Burnt Ends, which ranked No. 15 in 2024, slips to No. 38.
Meta Restaurant, which combines Korean traditions and bold flavours, goes from No. 28 to No. 39.
Coming in at No. 40 is Seroja, which opened in 2022 and showcases fare inspired by the Malay Archipelago. It was at No. 31 in 2024.
Restaurant Euphoria, a gastro-botanica fine-dining establishment in Tras Street, is the last Singapore restaurant on the list at No. 48, down from No. 20 in 2024.
Yet, chef-owner Jason Tan of the restaurant, which opened in 2020, is content. The 42-year-old observes that it is not unusual for restaurants to rise and drop in rankings yearly as the list has always been competitive.
Seroja’s chef-owner Kevin Wong, 31, who is in Seoul for the awards ceremony, is not disappointed over his restaurant’s ranking slipping nine places from its position in 2024, when it was also the highest new entry to the list.
“It was a great result as the Singapore food and beverage industry has been very tough. To be No. 40 at this tough time is a reward. We do our best regardless of the results,” he says.
It is Restaurant Labyrinth’s fifth time on the list since 2021 and chef-owner Han Li Guang notes that his restaurant’s ranking has been volatile each year. Thus, he does not read too much into the rankings.
The 39-year-old says: “It is the same key figures in the team cooking every year and we aim to improve ourselves constantly.”
Lolla in Ann Siang Road, which serves modern European cuisine with Asian influences and was ranked No. 43 in 2024, is missing from both the Top 50 as well as Top 100 lists.
Restaurant Born in Neil Road, which debuted in 2023 at No. 36 and rose to No. 25 in 2024, is at No. 54 in 2025. The fine-dining restaurant melds French gastronomy with Chinese cooking.
Bangkok’s Gaggan, which blends progressive Indian cuisine with influences from Japan, France and Thailand, ascends two spots to clinch the title of The Best Restaurant in Asia 2025, taking the crown from 2024’s winner, French restaurant Sezanne in Tokyo.
Hong Kong restaurants follow closely, with Cantonese restaurant The Chairman at No. 2 and contemporary Chinese restaurant Wing at No. 3.
Launched in 2013 to celebrate gastronomy across the region and to provide diners around the globe with local insight and culinary recommendations, the 13th edition of the annual awards are held at the Grand Hyatt, Seoul.
The No. 51 to 100 list, announced on March 12, has six returning Singapore restaurants.
Two of them have risen in ranking. Cloudstreet, which serves contemporary food and progressive wines, climbs to No. 74 from its 82nd spot in 2024; and modern Indian restaurant Thevar has advanced two spots from No. 72 in 2024 to 70th place.
Jaan By Kirk Westaway, which serves modern British cuisine, is No. 77, down from No. 53 in 2024. Contemporary Nordic restaurant Zen drops to No. 79 from No. 57, while Cantonese fine-dining restaurant Summer Pavilion slips to No. 95 from No. 75.
Two restaurants which debuted on the 2024 list – modern Chinese restaurant Peach Blossoms (No. 74) and Singaporean restaurant Mustard Seed (No. 81) – have fallen off the list in 2025.
