BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – The Islamic Arts Tarbiah Workshop, organised by the Islamic Arts and Culture Executive of the Student Representative Council, Students’ Association of Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPU SB) concluded yesterday with a closing ceremony.
KUPU SB Ra’es Associate Professor Dr Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani officiated the ceremony and presented certificates and tokens of appreciation.
The Islamic Arts Tarbiah Workshop, running since August 2025, comprised six sessions of Dikir; Tilawah al-Quran; Tausyeh; Menambat Dastar and Menapih Sinjang; Hadrah; and Syair.
Conducted by experienced invited facilitators, the workshop attracted 500 to 600 participants.
The workshop aimed to develop talent, nurture students’ interest in Islamic arts, strengthen their identity as future custodians of Islamic culture, and encourage active participation in artistic activities. – Lyna Mohamad
