The heated campaign trail has ended, Malaysia’s general election will decide the public’s appetite for more Najib or an old familiar name in Mahathir.

1Mdb, ethnic tensions, elderly candidates, jailed opposition leaders, mass public protests and a prime minister that has been bullish about his corruption scandals, this election in Malaysia surely has it all. But all these talking points have been covered to death, now is the time for the Malaysian people to decide who they want to lead their country. Many challenges still remain including a stagnating economy, the growth of China within the region and Malaysia’s role in ASEAN and the world.
