ULAANBAATAR – President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh’s state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan is continuing.

As part of the visit, the Ministry of Economy and Development of Mongolia and the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Promoting Trade and Economic Cooperation.

Under the goal of increasing bilateral trade turnover to USD 500 million, the two sides agreed to expand Mongolia’s supply of wool, cashmere, leather, meat, and meat products, while increasing imports of fruits, vegetables, and wheat from Kazakhstan.

A joint roadmap will also be developed within the framework of implementing the interim free trade agreement between Mongolia and the Eurasian Economic Union.
