Rubber ducky’s back!

The 18-metre rubber duck, created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, was deliberately deflated on June 10 when its surface began to stretch under the scorching sun, just several hours after the start of the exhibition.

HONG KONG – The deflated rubber duck in the art installation “Double Ducks” was returned to Victoria Harbour on Monday.

The barge carrying the deflated duck sailed back to waters off Tamar Park in Admiralty and the artwork was reinflated after tests and an inspection.

The 18-meter rubber duck, created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, was deliberately deflated on Saturday when its surface began to stretch under the scorching sun, just several hours after the start of the exhibition.

The two adorable ducks arrived in the harbor last Friday and were scheduled to be on exhibit for the next two weeks.
