FUZHOU – Farmers recently harvested salt at the Shanyao Salt Farm in Quanzhou, Fujian province, where vast salt pans resembling giant palettes were embedded in the earth.

The vibrant colors weave together into a dazzling summer landscape. The farm is the second-largest State-owned salt farm in Fujian, producing 65,000 metric tons of sea salt annually.
