TOKYO – A gold soccer ball priced at ¥237.71 million is on display at the Hanshin Department Store Umeda Main Store in Osaka’s Kita Ward on Wednesday. The ball has a diameter of 22 centimeters and was meticulously crafted using 3 kilograms of gold. The ball can be seen through Monday at a free exhibition where visitors can purchase gold products. “This is the first time I’ve seen a gold soccer ball,” said a 62-year-old office worker from Saitama City. “The World Cup is so exciting that my heart is racing.”
